Wellness Classes at Dancing Dialogue
Feelings in Motion: Caregiver and me
This playful group helps toddlers explore emotions through movement, music, and stories, while strengthening connection with their caregivers. Emotions often show up in the body before words, and children learn that stomping, crying, or clinging can be safe ways of saying “I feel something big!” Together, parents and children discover simple ways to express feelings, connect through movement, and use the body as a safe place for emotions.
Blending early childhood development, dance/movement therapy, and children’s literature, each class supports both physical coordination and emotional intelligence. Sessions include opportunities for bonding, creative exploration, and take-home strategies for caregivers.
Children will:
Practice identifying and expressing basic feelings (happy, sad, mad, scared, calm)
Develop motor skills such as balance, rhythm, and coordination
Strengthen language through songs, books, and storytelling
Experience co-regulation with a caregiver in moments of big feelings
Caregivers will:
Learn movement-based strategies to support children’s emotional expression and regulation
Gain confidence responding to tantrums with attunement instead of shutdown
Take home simple tools using music, movement, and books to encourage healthy emotional growth
Build a playful, supportive connection with their child
