Nurturing Multi-sensory Development in Infancy and Childhood (Washington, DC)

Nurturing Multi-sensory Development in Infancy and Childhood
November 3, 2005, 12:00 – 6:00 PM

This presentation will demonstrate how the nonverbal component of multi-sensory experience influences the attachment relationship, including the nonverbal messages that occur through touch. Participants will explore nonverbal cueing, and experience movement, dance and play activities that support the early infant attachment relationship while enhancing physical, cognitive, communicative and social/emotional development. These activities can be used with families, in groups, dyadic and individual therapeutic, hospital, preventative, and child care settings.
